In this 4 week series, we will explore and practice chair yoga. Chair yoga is a gentle form of traditional yoga that is performed while seated or using a chair for support and balance. Our chair will be the primary prop used.  We will explore various poses either from standing or a seated position, while continuing focus to provide support and stabilization to our bodies.

Chair yoga is excellent for people of all ages, however the emphasis for this series will focus on mature adults and seniors who want to stay active, improve their balance and flexibility and reduce stress levels.  This series would be particularly beneficial for individuals with limited or reduced mobility.

Marcy Owens is a 500RYT holding emphasis on trauma informed and somatic therapies, Usui and Kundalini Reiki Master and the co-owner of S&M Woods and Wares.  Marcy is committed to personal growth and individual healing through mindful movement, grace and empathy.
