Proactive Aging: The Nature of Grief

This session will address the complexity of the grief journey beyond sadness.  Discussion will involve how grief can involve a tangled web of emotions that occur all at once.

Betty Medley-Wallace, BSW, Coordinator of Grief Services and Community Care Director. Betty has worked for Glenn Funeral Home for 17 years providing counseling and leading support groups for widows, widowers, and parents who have lost a child. Betty is the administrator of The Days to Come, a special continuing care program that includes grief support groups, seasonal themed luncheons, a senior networking program, and excursions to regional sites of interest.
