Program Description

Join us in the Reading Garden for a reading of Stone Soup by Marcia Brown, a beloved and classic children’s story about community, sharing, and helping one another. After the story, each student will paint a stone. Students may contribute their stone to the ‘soup’ that the library will then share with homebound citizens of Owensboro.
Our sessions and activities are suited most toward homeschooling families with children between the ages of 6-12. Because a grown-up must stay with and help direct students during all parts of the program, younger and older siblings are welcome to join in on the adventure.
No registration required. Supplies are limited. Parents stay with children during all parts of their library visit.
